When I wake up, the first thing I want to do in the morning is hit the snooze button, so you can only imagine how enticing running sounds.

Some people are just morning people, and I wasn't one until I started running in the mornings; reason being, because I noticed the limited time I had in the evenings, which was getting in the way of my workouts.

Since I started running in the mornings, here are the benefits I've found.

Benefits of Running

in the Mornings

GET YOUR WORKOUT OUT OF THE WAY

It's such a relieving feeling to get done with your day and realize you've already worked out. Not only do you have more time in your day after work or any other priorities, you have more time in your morning to get ready for the day ahead of you.

START YOUR DAY FULL OF ENERGY

Getting up out of bed and going for a run gives you tons of energy to start your day with. Your endorphins and metabolism kick into high speed and you're ready to start your day alert, focused and refreshed.

MORE TIME FOR YOU

You can decide whether or not you want to do more excercise later in the day, but getting some cardio out of the way gives you more time to have for YOU. The things you constantly say you don't have time for can finally have a chance.

HELP WITH WEIGHT LOSS

Running in the morning can encourage you to go to bed earlier. It also jump starts your metabolism once you wake up and hit the pavement (or treadmill). Getting good rest and  increasing your metabolic rate are both key factors in shedding extra calories.
